An old very nice copy of Maggini violin stamped and possibly made by F.J. Weijdener. Weijdener was active in Amsterdam from 1875 - 1961. If made by him, this violin would be from the early period, late 19th century or beginning of 20th century. The violin also has Czech characteristics. The violin bears an illegible label 'Degani 1833 fece in Milano'. The violin has a very nicely flamed one-piece maple back and ribs and a moderately to fine-grained spruce table. The varnish of a brown color with shades of red.
