Old fine and interesting violin, labelled Pietro du Bounice lutic Paris 1789. The violin could possibly from this period, but it is more likely to be early 19th century. This violin comes from the hand of a luthier who very carefully crafted the instrument. The violin has a nicely flamed back and a moderately fine-grained spruce table. The inlay painted. The varnish of a light brown color on a yellow base.
