Old probably Bohemian violin made in late 19th century, around 1870, labelled Mathias Thir 1778. This handsome violin comes from the hand of a luthier who carefully crafted the instrument. The violin has a nicely flamed one-piece maple back and ribs and a moderately fine-grained spruce table. The varnish of a dark brown color.
