A fine contemporary viola, labelled and stamped 'Mario Gadda'. Gadda has often been copied and we believe this is one of those copies. A good contemporary viola, probably of Romanian origin. This handsome viola comes from the hand of a luthier who carefully crafted the instrument. The viola has a beautifully flamed one-piece maple back and ribs and a fine-grained spruce table. The varnish of a warm-orange color.
